What is Stand-In?

Stand-In is an instance of disconnection between Unit and the card processor (Visa), in which the card processor responds to authorization requests instead of the card issuer (Client / Unit).

During disconnection, the card processor decisions authorizations based on predefined stand-in processing rules, such as a maximum transaction amount. Clients are unable to use programmatic authorization during this time.
