How do we make sure the fare cap rule (MTA in NYC) is met successfully?

  • The fare cap rule can be met when the customer uses the same card to make the transactions (equivalent to 12 rides or $34 in fares within 7 days). 
  • Physical and virtual cards have different card numbers therefore they would not count towards the same cap. 
  • Customers can keep track of their progress toward the cap through their OMNY account.
