- Micro-deposits are used as test payments to validate the customer's bank account.
- If the micro deposit is successful, however the direct deposit does not go through it can result in an R03 error. This return error is no account found. The payment details have to match the bank account details, this means name, account, and routing numbers.
- Name mismatches are common payment rejections, we highly recommend checking in with the customer to verify their identification, if the name on the account is different from the payment and micro deposit to prevent future returns.
- We have a standard procedure that if the recipient name is just numeric and not a real name, we should approve it and not treat it as a mismatch.
