When a business account is closed, the final check is mailed to the business address and made payable to the business name as it appears on the account. The recipient name on the check cannot be changed to an individual, such as a beneficial owner or officer. The check will be issued and mailed in the name of the business only.
Can we update the name on the check for a closed business account from the business name to a personal name?
