Is there a character limit on physical debit cards?

There is a character limit set for physical debit cards.
The name limit on a card is set to 26 characters, if the name is greater than 26 character, the name would be truncated to fit the character limit.
For business cards, there is a character limit for the additional embossed text set to 21 characters. The additional embossed text can contain a business name, second cardholder name, or other data printed on cards in addition to the cardholder name.
