What is the process for updating information an existing customer account?

Individual Customers

Contact Information

Admin users in your organization (Org) can update the following individual contact information directly in the dashboard:

  • Phone

  • Email Address

  • Doing Business As (DBA)

  • Address

However, changes to a customer's name, date of birth, or Social Security Number (SSN) require the discretion of a compliance officer and must be escalated to Unit Support.

 

Authorized Users

Admin users in your Org can manage authorized users on an account. Authorized users are individuals who can:

  • View account activity

  • Initiate payments

  • Access a debit card

This functionality is located at the bottom of the customer account view within the dashboard (not in the deposit account view).

 


Business Customers

Contact Information

Admin users in your Org can update the following business contact information directly in the dashboard:

  • Phone

  • Email Address

  • DBA

  • Address

As with individual customers, changes to a business customer’s name, date of birth, or SSN require compliance officer approval and should be escalated to Unit Support.

Business Information

Admin users can update the following business information directly in the dashboard:

  • Phone

  • Address

Beneficial Owner and Officer Information

For updates to Beneficial Owner Information or Officer Information, the following steps should be taken:

  1. Reach out to Unit Support: Provide the requested changes along with the necessary supporting documentation.

  2. Required Documentation: Any updates to current owners/officers require documentation supporting the requested change. Examples include shareholder agreements or other official documents connecting the individual to the entity.

Adding or Updating Beneficial Owners/Account Owners

To add a new officer or update an existing officer’s details, the following information must be provided:

  • Full Name

  • Officer Email

  • Officer Phone Number

  • SSN

  • Address

  • Documentation connecting the officer to the entity (e.g., shareholder agreement)

Once all the required information and documentation are collected, escalate the request to Unit Support for processing.
