Are book payments instant?

Yes. 

To create a book payment before creating an ACH payment, you can call:

GET /accounts?filter[routingNumber]={9-digit ABA}&filter[accountNumber]={account number}

Both filters are required.
  • If an account is returned, create a book payment to that account.
  • If the response is empty, continue with the ACH payment.
