Can my customers open a bank account without a Social Security number?

If they have both, customers should apply with their Social Security Number rather than their passport number.

  • If they apply with a passport number instead of an SSN, as described in our End-Customer Applications Guide, they will be required to upload a copy of their passport, as well as an address-verification document.
  • If you’d like to support the opening of accounts without SSNs, please consult with your Customer Success Manager to receive bank approval.
