If they have both, customers should apply with their Social Security Number rather than their passport number.
- If they do not have their Social Security card, a filed tax return or W-2 are alternatives as per our list of acceptable documents here.
- If they apply with a passport number instead of an SSN, as described in our End-Customer Applications Guide, they will be required to upload a copy of their passport, as well as an address-verification document. These will then be under review as an exception to the required documentation which can take up to 2 weeks.
- If you’d like to support the opening of accounts without SSNs, please consult with your Customer Success Manager to receive bank approval.
